Tip Jar

Tip Jar - click the one in the side bar fror exciting adventures in giving me money! This blog has been a labour of love (and sometimes rage, but mostly love) for the past three and a bit years (crikey! has it really been that long?) and it will continue to be such. I aim to keep it minimally advertisy. You may have noticed that I added some Amazon Affiliate links to my post about films from the 1930s, but given that everything I’ve reviewed that you could purchase on Amazon has contained a non-paying link to the place, and no one has ever clicked any of those links, I’m not really expecting it to change my life.

As you’ll probably know, if you’ve been around here a while, I recently quit my job to become a freelance proofreader and copy editor, and to finish my PhD. Alas, I’m not actually able to live off the income I can make doing this, so things will be tight until the thesis has been laid to rest and I can take on more work. So, long and short of it is, I’d like to ask you, if you like my writing, if you find it valuable, if it added something to your life, just consider making a small donation – doesn’t have to be much, whatever you can afford. A tip, as it were.

To facilitate this, I have now added a tip jar to the sidebar —>

All you need to do is click the button, which will take you to my PayPal page, and enter the amount you want to pay for whatever pleasurable or useful experience you gained on your visit.

Thanks to Aoxoa, whose post showed me how to do this, and to bhorwat, whose DeviantArt stock image I used for the button.
